The World is My Shelter For Classical Guitar and Electronics (2025)
Commissioned by Klondike Steadman
The World is My Shelter is a meditation on seeking refuge in sound—how sound can create a fragile yet profound sanctuary from the noise of the world. Through a dialogue between classical guitar and fixed electronics, the piece explores the contrast between light and dark, purity and distortion, stillness and turbulence.
The project is made possible with guitarist Klondike Steadman. I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn about guitar, and to appreciate the subtle nuances of its beauty.
The trumpet is played by Jonathan Tompkins in this recording
